Tom Fitzgerald, Jr., CMP

Tom Jr. joined Conference Hotels Unlimited in April, 2018 as Sales Manager after spending over 10 years in the hotel industry between Rhode Island and Florida. While a student at Johnson & Wales University, Tom began his career in 2007 in the Front Office of the Westin Providence where he spent 4 of his 6 years there gaining priceless experience at the Front Desk, Concierge, PBX, and Night Audit. He was promoted to the Sales Office as a Catering Admin, and shortly thereafter advanced to Group Sales Manager.

Tom continued his career in Group Sales with the Omni Providence (formerly the Westin), two Noble House Hotels and Resorts properties—The Hotel Viking in Newport, RI and LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, FL and most recently with Sonesta Ft. Lauderdale Beach, FL. The properties he has worked at have given him extensive experience ranging from large downtown convention hotels to smaller boutique, destination resorts.

Upon relocating back to Massachusetts in Spring 2016, Tom’s goal was to pursue a sales position in the “family” business. Since Conference Hotels’ offices are located in an addition attached to the Fitzgerald home in Hull, MA, Tom Jr. had grown up around the business as a child and had seen how the company operated. He was intrigued from an early age by the opportunity and potential this small but niche business had to offer with the intent to someday work with his father, Tom Sr. and Vice President Donna Wikstrand.

Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. He is an active member of Meeting Professionals International, New England Chapter, and currently sits on the Board of Directors. He earned his Certified Meeting Professional designation in November, 2018, and has achieved several other industry certifications since.  Tom and his wife Caryn welcomed their first child, Maddy, in January, 2022.
