Tom Fitzgerald is one of the pioneers of the Third Party Meeting Planning industry throughout the United States and the first in New England. In 1979 he founded Conference Hotels of New England, Inc. and as the company’s clientele and hotel affiliations expanded throughout North America and beyond, he changed the name of the company to Conference Hotels Unlimited, Inc. in 1986.

Tom developed his hotel industry expertise as Sales Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing for two well-known Cape Cod resorts. Prior to that, he worked at the Harvard Club in Boston, where he gained extensive knowledge in Catering Sales and Event Management.

In 1979 Tom became one of the original members of the New England chapter of Meeting Professionals International. Locally Tom is a 30+ year member and twice past president of the Hull Lions Club.

Tom graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1974 with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Travel Administration. He lives in Hull, Massachusetts and is the father of two sons, Tom Jr, and Nevin, who are both graduates of the Hospitality School at Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI. Tom Jr. joined Conference Hotels Unlimited in April 2018 as Sales Manager. Prior to that he worked in group sales at several well known hotels and resorts in RI and FL. Nevin is in his 5th season as Manager of an upscale ski shop at Killington Resort in VT having spent the previous four years in a similar position at the Stratton Mountain Resort in Vt.
